Jumu’ah Khutbah: Delivered every Friday during the noon prayer service (ṣalāt al-jumʿah). This is the most common form and is mandatory for the Friday prayer to be valid. The Eid Khutbah: Delivered during the two major Islamic festivals: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. The special occasions sermons are also given during events such as solar eclipses (Kusuf), periods of severe drought (Istisqa), or at weddings (Nikah).
Noorani Qaida (Beginners): The foundational course for those who cannot yet read Arabic. It covers the alphabet, correct pronunciation (Makharij), and basic reading rules. Quran Reading with Tajweed: Focuses on the rules of recitation to ensure the Quran is read correctly, preserving the meaning and beauty of the original revelation. Hifz (Memorization): Structured programs designed to help students commit the entire Quran or specific portions to memory under the guidance of a qualified Hafiz. Tafseer & Translation: Classes that explain the meanings, context, and historical background of the verses for deeper understanding. Ijazah: An advanced certification course that authorizes a student to teach the Quran to others through a chain of narration (Sanad).
Islamic cultural activities encompass religious practices like daily prayers (Salah) and the pilgrimage (Hajj), alongside community events, art (calligraphy, geometric designs), education (Aga Khan Centre), social gatherings (nature walks), charitable work, and seasonal celebrations like Ramadan, offering spiritual growth, cultural exchange, and community bonding.
